Summary

The extension runs entirely in your browser. It sends no data off your device, makes no network requests, has no analytics, loads no remote code, and never sells or shares data.

What it reads

To find watermark layers it inspects the structure and computed styles of pages you open, and compares the text of click-through layers to spot repetition. That text may include a username or email address that the site printed as a watermark. All of this happens in browser memory while the page is open; nothing is stored or transmitted.

Only while you use "Pick a watermark to hide", the extension reads mouse position, clicks and the arrow/Enter/Esc keys to highlight and select what to hide, and stops those clicks from reaching the page. It stops reading them as soon as you pick or cancel; these movements are not recorded.

What it stores

Only when you turn it off for a site or pick an element to hide: that site's domain name, the on/off state, and the CSS selectors you picked. Stored in chrome.storage.local on this device and not synced.

Deleting your data

Remove picks one by one or all at once from the extension popup. Everything is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Limited Use

The use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used solely to provide the watermark-hiding feature.
